Birdsong, Co. Cavan, Ireland on 19th November 2021 – by Laura Fitzpatrick

“I recorded this in my garden in the countryside of Co. Cavan using a pair of Rode NT55’s. It was quite a mild day for mid-November and the birds were singing so loudly it caught my attention. It was so beautiful, I just had to capture it. However, the birds kept getting interrupted by the loud traffic on the nearby road; the countryside isn’t safe from traffic noise anymore. The birds continued to sing loudly regardless and almost became louder to be heard over the noise. When the traffic eventually died down, you can just experience the peaceful rural soundscape; a gentle wind blowing through the trees, a variety of birds singing their song and rustling the leaves as they move on the branches.”
