“I sat down next to a tall tree that was heaving with twittering birds. Turns out they are monk parakeets. The noise sounds like modular synths bubbling away at times, which is funny, because I’ve sometimes made synth noises that bubble away like birds. As chaotic as it sounds I could have sat there listening to them for a long time. I wonder what the commotion was all about. Probably happy to be up a tree in sunny Barcelona!”
