By the lake, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, Norwich, UK on 25th March 2021 – by Michael Holmes

“On the edge of the green campus of the University of East Anglia, the Sainsbury Centre is made up of an engineered steel space frame, clad in brilliant white panels and eight-metre high glass facades. Conceived by architect Norman Foster as a single span structure, 150 metres long, the Sainsburys gave Foster an open brief and he created a building inspired by his lifelong fascination with aircraft. The outside space is home to a collection of sculpture beside a large open body of water. Beside the water, birds sing.”
