5am, Raunds, Northamptonshire, UK on Sunday 14th March – by Rob T Stanier
“This was taken on our early morning dog walk, usually its difficult to get a decent recording as our Shar Pei Juno starts whimpering and grumbling as soon as you stop for a second so I propped the zoom h1n on a stump and left it and wandered off for a couple of minutes. This was recorded in a local pocket park, the crows always seem to congregate in the same area of trees and they were particularly active this morning. There used to be an old house in the area of land directly below the trees but it was knocked down recently and new houses built. The crows were here when the old house was there and have remained still. Its quite a noise when they get going and I often wonder what can be heard inside the houses.”
