“In the grasslands (Sahel) of Senegal I was making recordings in the brutal midday sun. It was this day that these grasslands had come alive for it had finally rained the night before. I’d never seen things grow so fast – an explosion of grass shoots, manifesting insects birds and fucking lakes everywhere! Donkeys and goats, cows and grazers of all kinds…wildlife congregations everywhere around the lakes and in the baobab trees…”
