Kittens purring, Regent’s Canal, London, UK on 31st July 2020 – by Andrea Rangecroft

“The ducks and geese used to wake me up at dawn but now it’s the kittens. They crawl into bed and find a nook to settle down in until breakfast. Without opening my eyes I can tell which is the smaller kitten as he has slightly softer fur and a higher-pitched purr, while his older brother has a deeper and louder voice. They often chew and groom each other and once the purring stops I know they’ve fallen asleep and I do too.”
