Newport Wetlands nature reserve, Wales, UK at 12.00pm on August 17th 2016 – by Jonathan Prior

“Part of the reserve is a former coal ash dumping ground produced by the Uskmouth power station, which still looms over the landscape. The sound of coal travelling up a conveyor belt on its way to being incinerated in the power station, and a high-voltage power line crackling overhead, dominate the soundscape, while insects and birds flit about.”
