“After a rainstorm or a snowfall melts, this waterfall roars. I spent a few moments with my recorder trying to capture that roar, but after a couple of unsatisfying attempts, I became intrigued by the more percussive and tonal sounds I heard when I brought the mic up close to where the rocks and wood had formed a small pocket in the falls.”
