“I walked down past Abbey Road Studios yesterday around 5pm, and for the first time, I didn’t see a single tourist posing on the crossing. The sound of excitement in half a dozen different languages was missing. There was just what’s left of the traffic going by, not having to stop at the crossing at all, plus a few joggers and pedestrians.
The UK death toll reached 900 yesterday, the worst day so far, and our Prime Minister spent his second night in an NHS intensive care unit, being treated for coronavirus.”
