Barred Owls, White Rock, British Columbia, Canada – by McKenna Hadley-Burke

“I live in White Rock, Canada. Every morning and evening I head out to give my dog (and myself) some much-needed fresh air and as we wind our way through a local forest, I often pause to listen to the birds. Recently, we had the immense luck of listening to two barred owls as they called to each other from opposite trees. While life during a pandemic may feel unfamiliar and full of uncertainty, the trees and the birds are a comforting constant.”
