Golden Gully, Australia, at dusk – by Camilla Hannan

“Here is a recording I made recently while on an artist residency in Hill End in western NSW. Just under 5 hours west of Sydney. (Population 100 as well as a bunch of feral goats.)

This is Golden Gully at dusk. Golden Gully is just outside the town and is called this because as you can see there are massive golden ridges and gorges.

Dusk and dawn are my favourite times to go recording. I love the transitional moments.

Its raw and unedited so may have a couple of clunks etc. However there’s a lovely kookaburra about 5 – 6 minutes in.”
