“Against all safety measures and reason, I had to go on a trip to New Orleans last week for a doc project. I did not feel good about it. There was this one moment though on an evening walk where I walked by a church with its door open. Someone was playing piano (maybe this music is Liszt? I’m not sure) while people dined inside. People shouldn’t be dining inside or going on work trips, but it was a welcome, if not delusional, moment of warmth for me listening to the music from the outside steps. I recorded a little on my phone.”
