“At the end of a long lockdown week, my husband, dog and I collapsed on the bed and dozed for a while. Morris, a Clumber spaniel who takes sleep very seriously, started snoring very rhythmically, and I managed to grab my recorder without waking anybody and capture a little of what a dreaming dog sounds like on a wintry Friday evening.”
