“This is a recording of a late summer thunderstorm in the Hogsback mountains in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It was Easter Sunday, 21 April 2019. The rain started coming down harder and harder and then the thunder and lightning arrived sending my family scampering inside. I sheltered under a large oak tree with my recorder to capture the drama of the arriving storm as it unfolded.”
